Description

Aruba 2530-8 Layer 2 Managed 8-Port Fast Ethernet Switch (Part Number: J9783A) is a cost-effective, enterprise-grade access switch engineered for small businesses, branch offices, and commercial workspaces requiring dependable edge connectivity. It features 8 RJ-45 10/100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet ports alongside 2 dual-personality Gigabit uplink ports (supporting either 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 or Gigabit SFP transceiver slots). The switch delivers a non-blocking switching throughput of 5.6 Gbps and a forwarding rate of up to 4.1 Mpps to ensure fluid network operations.

The 2530-8 provides full Layer 2 management capabilities, including 802.1Q VLAN support, IEEE 802.1p traffic prioritization (QoS), Access Control Lists (ACLs), and port security to protect sensitive network resources. Designed with a fanless thermal architecture, it operates completely silently, making it ideal for acoustic-sensitive deployments such as desktop offices, conference rooms, and reception counters. It can be managed centrally via Aruba AirWave Network Management or integrated into secure policy environments using Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager.
